How often does childhood trauma affect women’s desire to have kids?

So, I watched a YouTube video by Rebecca Barrett, called Pregnant Woman REACTS to Jeannie Mai Changing Her Mind About Having a BABY.

The thing that stood out to me was that, according to Rebecca, Jeannie Mai initially didn’t want kids because of trauma that happened to her when she was a child. That led her to develop a fear that if she had kids something may happen to them including a similar experience to hers. She had this mindset up until her early-40s.

It makes sense, but it probably would not have occurred to me that this might be relatively common if I hadn’t heard someone I personally know say something similar prior to Jennie Mai’s confession. I think the only reasons for not having kids that I heard women say were they themselves were selfish or didn’t want to bring kids into what they saw as a troubled world.

Now, I’m curious as to how common it is for women to not want to kids because of childhood trauma.
