Licensing Your Ideas to Market Without Starting a Company: Notes from Stephen Key’s One Simple Idea

I started reading the book One Simple Idea by Stephen Key years ago, but don’t think I finished it. I think these are some notes I made from the first chapter.

You don’t have to start your own company to bring your ideas to market. You don’t even necessarily need to file patents. You can license your ideas to companies and let them do the market research, product development, etc.

Forms of licensing:

1. Come up with an original idea

2. Think of incremental progress to product

3. Find other people’s ideas and match them with companies
