Why I Chose this Book
Several years ago, I joined a meetup group and for a few of those meetups the topic was centered around a discussion of the book Wealth Happens One Day at a Time by Brooke M. Stephens., though I was unable to attend. One Saturday, I was finally able to make it to a meeting. I hadn’t read the book, but I did read an article about it. I had planned on picking up a different book from the library that morning (Akata Warrior) and decided to see if Wealth Happens One Day at a Time was available. Lo and behold, it was. I checked both books out and headed to the meetup. Soon after the meetup I began reading it.
Wealth Happens One Day at a Time
This book offers financial advice that is broken up into pieces for each day of the year. Overall, there are five parts, one for money mindset, wealth foundation, wealth creation, wealth protection, and wealth preservation. Stephens offers affirmations as well as actionable steps for each piece of advice.
Stephen urges the reader to confront his beliefs and attitudes toward money. Many of us have negative views of money and wealth creation. To be financially successful, we must confront these ideas and overcome them. We must track our spending habits. We must learn more about money through various resources. Stephens also advocates donating 10% of our money every month to a cause of our choosing.
Conclusion
If you or someone you know is just starting out a wealth journey, this could be a good start.

I have the author’s earlier book, Talking Dollars and Making Sense, because our book club chose it back in the day. Randomly I wanted to know if the author had published anything lately and your review popped up. It doesn’t look like she’s still active in the personal finance world, but I’ll give this one a look. Thanks for your review.
